Yesterday, Cary and I took the 40 minute drive up to Diamond Peaks subdivision near Crescent Lake Junction, where Jimmy and Robert are doing a job. The day was sunny and warm, and the scenery was beautiful. I took a few pictures to show you why we put up with snow the rest of the year ... summers around here are to die for. (We don't really get a traditional spring; even though it isn't hot enough to be summer yet, it still looks like it.)

This is our nephew, Jimmy. I told him that I'd make a calendar called "Men at Work" and that he could be on the first page.

Robert is in the bulldozer. I didn't get a close-up of him.

The mountains in these photos are Diamond Peak,
Odell Butte and Little Odell Butte.
Cary and I went to Manley's for chicken and ice tea, and brought the guys hamburgers on the way back. We also enjoyed visiting with the homeowners, Frank and Paul. It was a great little outing, and it really lifted my spirits to get a change of scenery.
When we were at Manely's I spotted this sign, and was glad that I was no longer feeling as ornery as this pretty lady. Because, before we left, I sort of did have a bad attitude:

So . . . is Jimmy single???
(I'm kidding of course. What I really want to know is how I can order my calendar when you finally get it out. LOL!)
The sign is interesting because of the contrast between the slogan and the image. I'm sure it has made lots of people reconsider their bad moods of the day. We grumps might not mind identifying with an angry-looking lady, but we probably wouldn't want to be like the woman who doesn't know how crazily exuberant she is!
The pictures are great and that sign, HA, love it.
