Enjoy your week, my friends!
~ Kathy M.
Thinking of summer got me remembering summer songs, and here is a blast from the past by Bobby Hyland. When I was in grade school, my best friend Teresa's mom. Mary Lou, always listened to the top 40 songs, and I really liked this one. Keep in mind, this was written when long distance was expensive and we had never EVER dreamed of cell phones or unlimited texting. Letters were super important, back in the day.

oh my gosh, I sure do remember that song! Didn't we know just about every word to every hit song back then?? So fun! You have a great week, too, Kathy!
It's getting nice here too, Kathy. Oh Lord, I pray there's no more snow! And I LOVED that song, Kathy! I remember my cousin would listen to this radio station and it would play!
Best,
Gloria
Was there ever a greater thrill than to recieve a letter in the mail from that special fellow?? A 140 character tweet can't compare.
It's warm, warm, warm and humid. Already! I'm wishing we were still in winter and hoping that we will have some spring before the hot/humid summer is upon us.
That second photo is gorgeous, Kathy, and I loved that song, too. I remember writing S.W.A.K. on the back of many envelopes when I was a teen.
Thank you, thats very interesting information. I need to share with my friends.
