Things to check out ...

Today's post is a smorgasbord of links of things that my friends are up to.

Gloria:

My friend Gloria, from the blog The Little Red House with the White Porch, (who lives in CT) has compiled information on ways to help those of Sandy Hook Elementary, including donation funds and a special address for cards and gifts:

Jenny:

I don't know Jenny The Bloggess personally, but she posted a story about her friend's recent suicide and she includes many resource links and talks about the difficulty of getting help for mental health issues in her post: "Today and Forever".

Lynn:

My friend Lynn O., from Present Letters, has a story published in the new book, Fifty Shades of Santa.  Please check out her post about it all:   "Yes, Yes, I'm Pretty Sure Success"

Becky:

My friend Becky Povich has finished writing her memoir, "From Pigtails to Chin Hairs", and has decided to self-publish her book using Create Space.  To learn all about that, please check out her post "I'm Thrilled to Reveal".

In part of her journey toward self-publishing, Becky has used a format new to me, Kickstarter.  Please check out her video (it is so fun for me to see and hear her) and consider sponsoring her if you feel led.  Launching My Memoir: "From Pigtails to Chin Hairs"

Kimberly:

I have posted about my friend Kimberly before.  Kimberly and her husband (my high school friend) Leon have the band Taylor's Crossing.  Kimberly has a new official website and blog, which you can view by "clicking here".   She also has a new businessDiamond Taylor Designs.  Please take a look, and if you know anybody who may need a custom amplifier cover, please let them know about thisThanks!

Thanks for sharing my blog for the info about the cards or donations that people can send for the Newtown tragedy. I hope some can find it in their hearts to send a card even, I'm sure the families would appreciate knowing they have the support of the whole country.
Best,
Gloria
