Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today is my Dad Ralph's 72nd birthday. Here is a picture of our family, before Julie was born (sorry, sister ... she's the only sibling who actually reads my blog!).

Dad was born in Summers, Arkansas to Delmer and Agnes Johnson. When he was in junior high, they moved to Junction City, Oregon. Dad was a jock in high school, excelling in both football and basketball. He married my Mom, Jody, when they were 19, and they had me when they were 21.

Dad managed grocery stores until I was about 9, and then worked as a driver/salesman until he retired ... first driving a 7-Up truck and then working for Arden-Farms and Darigold.

Dad and Mom were very family oriented, and we were always camping and hanging out with our extended families when we were growing up. We had a lot of fun.

Happy Birthday, Dad, I love you!

I know, it is too bad. Angie looks like a cute little kitten to me in this picture.
