All In The Family: Gloria Bunker Stivic

The other day, we were watching old reruns of  All In The Family. All In The Family was a long running sitcom in the 1970's about the Bunker Family.  No way could you get away with the things that were said on there today, with the bigotry that Archie Bunker spouts throughout every episode.  Still, the show was funny, and depicts the ins-and-outs of two generations living in the same house.

Eventually the friends and neighbors of All In The Family got their own t.v. shows, including The Jeffersons, Maude, Sanford and Sons and Gloria.

Today, I am going to focus on Gloria Bunker Stivic (Sally Struthers). In short, Gloria marries Michael and they live with Archie and Edith.  Eventually, they buy their own home and have baby Joey.  To learn more about Gloria's character, here is a Wikipedia link that tells about her.

Really, I am focusing on Gloria's hair and fashion styles in this post.  It is fun to see what the ladies of my generation were wearing 35-40 years ago.  We were styling, baby.  Enjoy!

What an incredible variety of hair styles she went through. I was turned off of the show in the beginning because of all of the arguing and bigotry. It wasn't till it was long off the air that I learned to see the humor and enjoy the show.
