Lavender Cottage #2 of 3 - Blue Monday and Bargain Book Bonanza #7:

Last week, I stopped by a delightful little Antique/Tea/Gift shop located in our little town.  I posted a few photos on Saturday, and will post some more tomorrow (Tuesday).  I am blending this post with Smiling Sally's Blue Monday  and  also with Bargain Book Bonanza over at Baja Greenawalt's Cozy Book Nook.  Please enjoy the slide show on the top of the page if you have a few extra moments.  I also did a Shadow Shot Sunday post featuring more of the pretty things at Lavender Cottage on Saturday ... to see those, CLICK HERE.

Christina, the owner, and Nova, one of her associates, are very gracious and welcoming when you walk through their door.  They have worked hard to turn this intimate space into a delightful retreat; offering reasonably priced antiques and teas for purchase.  They also host tea parties for your special occasions.  If you see anything that you love and want to buy it, they'll ship it to you; I asked.

Here are some of the blue things that I have found for Blue Monday:

This is my great find for Bargain Book Bonanza:

E.B. White's boxed set that I found there for only  $5.00 at Lavender Cottage.  I have seen Charlotte's Web probably 100 times (not exaggerating on that; Nigel had to watch it everyday when we got home).  I read Stuart Little years ago and have seen that movie, but to tell you the truth, I don't know much about The Trumpet of the Swan.  I guess that I'd better get on that one!

Happy Blues! There are some brilliant blues in that shop. I love the lidded pitcher (left in the photo) and the oval platter and who doesn't love Charlotte's Web! Enjoyed my visit - Thanks, Jenn

What a cute tearoom! There is one here called Apple Hollow that I have taken photos of but have yet to post. Maybe your post will inspire me to get on the ball!

What a great book set! I've only read Charlotte's Web and I actually bought one at Goodwill recently-- you'll see it on BBB one of these days-- sure wish it had been a whole set like yours!

Thanks for linking up to BBB!

Kathy I have a blue thing. Thanks for fueling the fire. Maybe one day I'll do a Blue Monday.

That's the exact copy of Charlotte's Web that I had when I was little. Actually still have. So lovely.
