This and That Tuesday: Sharing the Love

Wow!  Thank you to Melissa from over at Melissa's Imaginarium
for giving me an award yesterday!  There were not any rules attached, which are the kinds of awards that I enjoy the most.  Melissa just gave links to several of her blogging friends, and I am going to do the same.  I have featured many of the people on my blog list at the top of the sidebar every now and then, so feel free to visit their awesome blogs when you get a chance.

Today, I would also like to suggest visiting some of my Sepia Saturday friends, and encourage you to become part of this group if you love old pictures and stories of the past.  It is a very enjoyable blogging community to belong to.  Here are just a few of the regular participants:

Little Nell @ Hanging On My Word
Bob @ Bob's Home For Writing
Karen @ 21 Wits, by Karen
Alan @ News From Nowhere
Tickelbear @ Ticklebear
Nancy @ Ladies of the Grove
Postcardy @ Postcardy: The Postcard Explorer
Liz @ Attics and Old Lace

Some other goings on in Blogland:

Looking for some great deals as you get ready for Christmas?  Frugal Living Northwest is an incredible website that is worth looking into.  Just "CLICK HERE" to see for yourself.

Okay, there you go!  Posts like this take forever, with all the linking up, but I wanted to let you know about some of my other favorite bloggers.  Melissa, see what you started, lol!  Take care, everybody, and have a wonderful week.

Thanks so much for the shout out! I bet we can figure out how to make the entry form work for you. You have to click the 'I did this' on the mandatory 'follow this blog' entry-- you should get a pop-up for your name and email. fill'em in then you should be able to click the 'I did this' on the optional extra entries. If it still doesn't work for you, I will hunt up the Rafflecopter vid to explain how to enter Rafflecopter giveaways. Please try again to enter!

I've been a slug about BBB lately-- I hope to do one every other week though so if I don't post one today it will be next Monday.

I'll have to check out the blogs sometime--it's that time of the year where there are too many things going on! Yikes! Congrats on your blog award!

Congratulations, Kathy! I'll check out some of the links.

Are you looking for info about Tyler Matthews?

Check this stuff out below:

The 2012 Army All-American Day Event

Photo Source: Nike "The Opening Brochure" Pages 2 and 3
During the week of July 5-9, 2011, Cary and I were privileged to attend "The Opening", watching quarterback grandson Tyler Matthews (#43 the first day, and #15 on game days) play with 150 of the best high school football players in the United States. The event was held at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. I hope that you enjoy the pictures ... some are better photos than others, but I tried to capture as many kids as I could.

There are approximately 500 photos in these slide shows. They are of the players, the fans, our family and everybody/everything that caught my eye. They are in chronological order. No names are on the pictures, even if I do know who people were.

As time permits, I will also be writing blog posts about my experience as a spectator. Since I still have a lot to learn about football and this is not a sports blog, I'll write some human interest stories as seen through my eyes. That said, Tyler Matthews, YOU ROCK!!!!
