The tablescape below uses "retro" dishes, instead of fine china. Like a Sunday dinner at Grandma's house when I was little, but not on a holiday. These dishes look to me that they are from the 1970's. They were Cary's Grandma Pearl's dishes. There are many items on this Tablescape that are my own, and the glasses and bowls were my Grandma Johnson's.
As much as this is a fun exercise in being creative and doing show-and-tell, it is just as much about me learning to take good photos. Many say, NEVER use a flash, but when I try to do that, often my pictures turn out really dark. So, on some of these shots, I used this lens attachment that came with my camera, and it helped. It does leave it's own shadow from the overhead light though.
