Goodbye, Holiday Farm Restaurant and Lounge:

Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews

We are all saddened to learn that the historic Holiday Farm Resort restaurant and lounge in Rainbow, Oregon, burned to the ground yesterday.  Cary and I have been there many times over the past 9 years, and it was one of our very favorite places to go.

Our condolences go out to the Harbick Family, our friends and to all of those who worked there.  This is a huge loss to the Upper McKenzie Valley Community.  Our prayers are with you.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.  The cabins, and RV park are unharmed, thank goodness.  Here is a link with beautiful photos about when we stayed at the RV Park last year,  just "CLICK HERE".

This You Tube video shows you the building when all was fine:

Oh, that's too bad! I hadn't been there, but Idaho has a few old, tucked in the woods places like that. I'm sorry it's gone!

What a shame. It looked like a beautiful place to visit. I'm glad that parts of it escaped, and hopefully they will be able to keep going and rebuild.
