Sam's Baby Shower: It's A Boy!

This afternoon, I went to our new niece's baby shower.  The sign says, "It's A Boy!" and little J.C. is due in July.  The house was festively decorated, and around 30 people gathered to celebrate.

Sam is radiant.

Julia, her new MIL and my SIL,
worked hard getting things ready.

We had fajita's for lunch.

My niece Beverly is cracking up.  Debbie is always so pretty.

Tess, Beverly's youngest, brought a friend with her from Bend.

Debbie and Shelly discuss important matters.  Bev's SIL got in a bad accident the night before, and broke both arms.  Dang.

There were gifts galore!

Some folks had already gone home when we took the outside group pictures.  The first one was before everybody was ready, but I like it.  The second one turned out really well, don't you think?

I didn't get my blanket for J.C. made in time for the shower, but I showed Sam the fabric and got her some other things for today.

It was a fun time to get together with the gals from Cary's side of the family, and to get to know Sam's family and friends better.  I had a great time, and know that they did too.  Now we all just have to wait until we can meet baby boy J.C.!

I like both group shots. Just think -- 100 years from now, one of your descendents will have a great photo for their Sepia Saturday group theme. HA! Be sure to label the names!!

Looks like a grand group that you had to shape up after that first photo where they were looking every where but the camera. Nice job.
Some showers can be a chore, this one looks like it was fun.

That looks like fun! I haven't been to a baby shower for so long... I hope the shower helped you put your rough week behind you. This a new week, and good things are going to happen!

Oh, it looks like a great shower! It's always fun to welcome babies! And it's nice to have an excuse for family and friends to gather--thanks for sharing these!

It looks like everyone had a good time. I'm amazed at what is available for babies these days. Are those cup holders on that port-a-crib?

Before leaving this comment, I read the first one here by WENDY... that was SO funny, with the Sepia thing 100 years from now! LOL! Now on to MY comment: I LOVE to be a part of your family parties! The Mommy-to-Be is gorgeous! I also think her mother is pretty too! They look alike. And the group photo is wonderful. I love that lady on the right, holding that kid! LOL! ;)
Best,
Gloria
