Blogging From A to Z Challenge, 2013 Begins on Monday!

Join Us in the 2013 A-Z Challenge!

There is still time to sign up for A to Z.  This will be my third year of participating, and I have met so many great blogging friends each time.  To check out what it is all about, please "CLICK HERE".

I am so glad that I prepared by posts in January, when I had some spare time.  They need a bit of tweaking, but for the most part, they are ready to go, beginning on Monday.

I just began a job teaching preschool this past Monday.  Not only do I have five fewer hours per day to devote to blogging, but I am still adjusting to the idea of  leaving the house by 7:00 in the morning.  My previous schedule was to blog and do my writing for 3 1/2 to 4 hours each morning.  I am off work today, and boy, am I enjoying my old schedule.

So, please either join me as a participate in A to Z or stop by throughout the month to learn about what certain fairies have to say about some lovely flowers.

Have a great weekend and Easter Sunday!

Kathy M.

I am retired and can sympathize with you about getting up so early, but congrats on getting the job.

I hope you are having a fabulous time at your new job, guiding young minds. they could not have a better teacher as I know I always learn something new when I come here. I'm looking forward to your posts, though I may get to them late. I'm still working on mine. Yikes! Happy Easter to you and your lovely family. i wish you all a wonderful and happy weekend.

Hope you're enjoying your new job. I'd have a terrible time getting out of the house by 7--I'm up by then, but wouldn't like to have to face the world!

I'm so impressed that you're already prepared for the A to Z challenge. I look forward to reading your posts.

I signed up early and really thought I'd get a head start on my A to Z posts. Did I? Heck no. But I am ready for Monday.

It's "our anniversary" Kathy -- last year at this time I knew you through Sepia Saturday but we became friends through A to Z. Happy Anniversary!

The 2012 Army All-American Day Event

Photo Source: Nike "The Opening Brochure" Pages 2 and 3
During the week of July 5-9, 2011, Cary and I were privileged to attend "The Opening", watching quarterback grandson Tyler Matthews (#43 the first day, and #15 on game days) play with 150 of the best high school football players in the United States. The event was held at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. I hope that you enjoy the pictures ... some are better photos than others, but I tried to capture as many kids as I could.

There are approximately 500 photos in these slide shows. They are of the players, the fans, our family and everybody/everything that caught my eye. They are in chronological order. No names are on the pictures, even if I do know who people were.

As time permits, I will also be writing blog posts about my experience as a spectator. Since I still have a lot to learn about football and this is not a sports blog, I'll write some human interest stories as seen through my eyes. That said, Tyler Matthews, YOU ROCK!!!!
