Congratulations, Nigel!

Nigel went to Portland on Monday with his Navy Recruiter and joined the Navy! After passing his physical and taking his apptitude testing, he was officially sworn in and has signed up initially for 5 years. Nigel, with his excellent language and writing skills, has been placed in communications and plans on being a Navy reporter. Cary and I are so proud of him! He will be going into basic training in July.

Nigel has always been brave, and sticks up for those who need help. He will make an awesome sailer and will work hard to protect our country, while speaking and reporting the truth.

I love you, son and am so happy about your decision.

I am excited about all the opportunities that

are coming your way, and am thrilled

about all that you will be experiencing

as you travel the world.

(But I feel just a little bit worried. It's a mom thing.)
