Yesterday, we were blessed by an unexpected visit from my step-daughter Cheri and her family. They stopped by my MIL Darlene's, where we visited and then went out for pizza.

Gage is thrilled about this new boat idea. Cheri and Scott are biting their tongues. I'm not quite sure that thrilled was what they were feeling. But, they are nice folks who go with the flow. They will help Garrett make his dream boat a reality. (In truth, this was just a random shot that caught them off guard, but it fits with the story, so I'm using literary license and my imagination.)

Gage dreams of next summer, when he'll be riding along out on the lake in his brother's new boat. His dad said, "Be careful, Gage, don't sit on a nail."
We can't wait to see how the inside of this cool boat turns out.
Isn't this kid cute?

Wow, what a great gift and a guaranteed way to make a young man happy.
That almost ranks up there with a car.
I do like a happy ending!
Awesome...a 'new' boat...and a project that'll keep him busy and out of harms way [if he's like a teenager, you know]...this is a perfect gift and generous gesture.
Love your photos. And, secretly, I must say, I love your jean pedal-pushers. Do they call 'em pedal-pushers any more? Well, you understand. Love all the smiles!!!
Happy Friday to you.
