Tea for Two

It turned out to be the beginning of a comedy of errors: funny in retrospect, but a disaster at the time. Kelsey could decorate, but she couldn’t cook. Using salt instead of sugar in the coffee cake batter; burning the bacon so that the house reeked; and having her quiche fall flat, Kelsey was a hostess in tears.
The older women were tolerant and appreciated the thought, but Eileen felt sorry for her son and began supplying dinners on a regular basis after that. Kelsey appreciated that thought, but not very much.
The battle for Jack was on. (150)

"The battle for Jack was on." What a perfectly "delight"-ful hook! Great last name for your MC, too; it told me right off that bat that this would be a fun read. Nice job, Kathy!
Excellent blurb, Kathy. No one would appreciate her mother-in-law providing food for her son. Buying cooking lessons for the daughter-in-law wouldn't have led to a battle.
Interesting to see how this turns out. I'll have to buy the book!

Mama needs to untie the apron strings and let Jack and Kelsey figure out their own life together.
Is that where the story ends up? I sure hope so!
Beautiful picture, and this comedy of errors had just enough errors that it balanced out the comedy just perfectly. Great last line!
