2013 Forest River Wildcat:

Last weekend,  when I mentioned on here that Cary and I were contemplating our summer plans, we were considering buying a larger RV and spending a bit of time traveling around during the upcoming nice weather.  On Saturday, we drove to Redmond to check out a couple of used 5th wheels in stock at Big Country RV.  Once there, we met up with Ty and he showed us around.

We checked out the older ones, and then I spotted the Forest River brand, which I didn't know anything about.  Walking inside the first one, I thought, NOW we are talking!  Of course, it was new, and not in our plans.  Still, I was so taken with the quality and the craftsmanship.  Forest Rivers don't seem like trailers when you get inside, they are more like cabins.  Like Sunriver cabins; with cherry hardwood cabinets, fancy counter-tops, continuous hot water, two gas fireplaces and so much more.  They are loaded with extras, and the interior design is simply gorgeous.  After I fell in love with the design of the first one, I went on over to the next one and said, this is it.  This is what I want.  Cary said, um, we weren't going to buy a new one.  I said, I know, but if we were, this is the one that I want.

Cary and Ty worked out a possible deal, just in case.  I am always amazed at Cary's negotiating skills.  That guy is excellent at getting the price that he wants.  I always wander away, because I feel bad for the salespeople.  They never know what they are up against until it is too late. We went home, wishing, but undecided.

Then, yesterday, Wednesday, Cary called me and said, it is a done deal, let's go back and sign the papers.  I was floored, because I really wasn't expecting it.  But, I am so, so happy!  We pick it up tomorrow morning, and here it is:

Wow Wow Double Wow and More Wow. Now that's the way to rough it! I stumbled on an AtoZ Blog yesterday done by a couple who LIVE 24-7-365 in an RV and just live on the road. I think you could do that too in the camper you bought.
