Thursday's Thoughts:

I'm just sayin' ...

Hello Friends,

This week has flown by. What a busy week this has been!  It seems as if spring might finally be here, though that means that we have had a few days of light rain.  I'm looking forward to this weekend, when Central Oregon is supposed to hit the mid-70's.  Finally!  Things have picked up at work, so I'll be there helping out Cary more than I have been lately.

Please scroll down for the A-Z Challenge letters "Q", "P" and my Sepia Saturday post about poor farms and insane asylums.

While in Bend this week, I remembered to stop by Walmart and pick up some Excedrin substitute.  I am not out of Excedrin yet, but never want to find myself in that situation.  For those of you who don't know, the makers of Excedrin pulled it off the shelves in January and are uncertain when they will be putting it back on the market.  Excedrin is a safe and effective treatment for many folks who have migraines.  My migraines have shifted over the years, and sometimes they hit me in my vision, making it hard to see and even talk.  If I can nip a migraine in the bud with two little over-the-counter pills, then I will continue to do that.

Apparently, in January 2012, batches of Excedrin at the plant were tainted with stronger drugs.  Norvallis pulled the product.  I just don't understand why it is taking so long to get back into stores. Greedy people are selling bottles on Ebay for $50, and desperate people are buying it at that price.

Anywhoo, not all Excedrin substitutes work as effectively as the real thing, but the Walmart brand is supposed to.  The ingredients are exactly the same, and I have had luck with it.  Plus, it is so cheap!  This little package came with two bottles of 100 and only cost $4.00.

Nobody paid me for this little ad.  I just thought that I would throw it out there as an alternative.  Here is a little news video posted 5 days ago about this: When is Excederin Coming Back to Stores?
