A - Z Challenge: "F" is for Ferris Wheel

During the month of April, I am participating in the Blogging From A-Z April 2012 Challenge, where we post everyday except for Sundays. I have decided to make flashcards for the letter of the day out of my photos, and then use the picture as a writing prompt.  I am using my Thesaurus to find as many words beginning with the letter "F" as I can, to use in my story and still have it make sense.

Thank you for your visit, and please come back again tomorrow!  I'll be by to visit those who leave me comments, and also visit as many others as I can.  If you like what you see, please feel free to become my newest follower.  ~ Kathy M.

Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews

"A Day at the Fair"
by Kathy Matthews

Frank and his fair-headed Felicia had been friends forever.  On a fateful Friday in February they went to the fair in Florence; a coastal town that the two were familiar with.

Feeling famished, Frank ordered a flavorable famous frankfurter deluxe, and gobbled it down without fanfare.  With fondness, Felicia opted for a fancy deep-fried fritter.

That frankfurter gave Frank the walking farts.  He was embarrassed, and began to feel like Larry the Cable Guy's grandmother.  Trying to fend off the farts by ignoring them, Frank suggested to Felicia that they take a ride on the Ferris Wheel.

He was at the top of the ride when, in a flash, Frank decided that he really needed to use the facilities. Go figure! They may as well been as far away as the moon, and he felt like a fool to not have considered this possibility while still on the ground.

A to Z Participant List

Following the theme of the of the alphabet, I am also featuring this out-of-print book created by a couple of Oregon ladies in 1983.  Please come back tomorrow to see the next page in the series:
