A - Z Challenge: "S" is for Seagull

During the month of April, I am participating in the Blogging From A-Z April 2012 Challenge, where we post everyday except for Sundays. I have decided to make flashcards for the letter of the day out of my photos, and then use the picture as a writing prompt.  I am using my Thesaurus to make a story out of words beginning with the letter "S", and to have it make sense.  I have no idea of the twists and turns that it will take and usually crack myself up when I am all through.  Hope these little ditties make you laugh too.  The whole list of my A-Z posts are all listed on the top of the left-hand sidebar.

Thank you for your visit, and please come back again tomorrow! I'll be by to visit those who leave me comments, and also visit as many others as I can. If you like what you see, please feel free to become my newest follower. ~ Kathy M.

Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews

"Steve Sterling and the Evil Seagull"
 by Kathy Matthews

Steve Sterling was a super stud. Women salivated at the sight of him.  A retired safety from the Seattle Seahawks, Steve was now a successful spokesman for Sears.  He also sold a series of serial killer books for a sum of seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars.  Financially, Sterling was set for life.

Steve Sterling drove a Silverado and a Shelby.  His baseball teams were Seattle and San Fransisco, and he supported The Sounders in soccer.  Steve also loved to ski.  He owned homes in Seaside, Silverton, Sunriver and San Antonio.  Married to Sheri for seventeen years, they had three children; Samantha, Sierra and Skylar.  The best part about Steve was that he was sweet and not a bit selfish.

As you can see, everything was super with self-reliant Steve Sterling.  That is until that fateful Saturday in Seaside, when an evil seagull named Sam flew inside the open windows of the Shelby.  Surprised and startled by the gull, Steve swerved, struck a secret stash of shells and drove straight into the salty water of the Pacific.

Sam Seagull was a scrappy stud in his own right.  He performed stunt sky maneuvers with his cousin Sid in Seaside.  Today's goal was to get a Shelby to sit among the sea lions, starfish and sharks.  It appears that he was a successful little shit, led by Satan.  You suck, Sam!

The End.

This one was easy, I barely needed the Thesaurus.   There are a lot of words that begin with "s".

Steve and Sam. Something suggests to this student that Steve should shy away from Sam. A simple solution would be to stay in the state.

Sincerely,
Shamela
