A - Z Challenge: "U" is for Umbrella

During the month of April, I am participating in the Blogging From A-Z April 2012 Challenge, where we post everyday except for Sundays. I have decided to make flashcards for the letter of the day out of my photos, and then use the picture as a writing prompt.  I am using my Thesaurus to make a story out of words beginning with the letter "U", and to have it make sense.  I have no idea of the twists and turns that it will take and usually crack myself up when I am all through.  Hope these little ditties make you laugh too.

The whole list of my A-Z posts are all listed on the top of the left-hand sidebar.   Here is the link to last year's letter "U" post, that was actually pretty neat:  "Unabashed, Unaquainted and Unadorned".

Thank you for your visit, and please come back again tomorrow! I'll be by to visit those who leave me comments, and also visit as many others as I can. If you like what you see, please feel free to become my newest follower. ~ Kathy M.

Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews

"Under Her Thumb"
by Kathy Matthews

"Meet me on U Street, under the umbrellas,"  Ursula urgently uttered into the phone.  "I won't be wearing my ugly underwear, and to you, I am the ultimate."

Udolph found Ursula ultra-unacceptable and the situation very unadvised, but she had him under her thumb.  That chick was unafraid, and not unappetizing, still, he wished to be unaffected when it came to her charms.  Udolph could not seem to tell Ursula that he was unavailable in uncertain terms.

When they met at the umbrellas, an unavoidable and unbearable situation occurred, due to Udolph's unawareness that his wife had been listening in.  Ulla was unstable, unbalanced and unattractive, but she was not unauthentic.

Unbelievably, with uncanny speed, Ulla stripped Ursula unceremoniously down to her sexy underwear.  Right there under the umbrellas on U Street!  Both Udolph and Ursula felt that this course of action was uncalled for and uncommon behavior.

Was it an unconscionable action?  Perhaps, but for the sake of unity, Udoplh (his misdeeds uncovered), followed Ulla home with unconcealed fear in his eyes.  He was undeniably no longer under the thumb of Ursula.

The End.

Uldoph and Ulla? Now there's a pair. I won't ask what their last name is.
