Fun New Things:

Yesterday afternoon, I got the call that I had been anxiously waiting forAfter two interviews, I was offered the job of teaching preschool in the 2's/3's room at a nearby child development center.

I have been out of the preschool loop since 2005, when I spent the year following my graduation teaching at Head Start.  I am so excited, and I begin work on Monday.  Yay!

So, now I am busy learning all that I can and refreshing myself on the 2's/3's age group.  The center uses the Reggio Emilia approach, which fits right in with how I do things myself so it is very familiar.  I am finding many great websites, blogs and Facebook pages, and plan on updating my Comfort and Joy Childcare blog as time permits.

It has been very heartwarming to receive all the congratulations and best wishes from my family and friends, who know that this is what I really want to do.  It will be great to use my degree once again and returning to my first love ... teaching little kids and being part of a great group of co-workers.
