Out to Lunch:

Yesterday, Cary, his Mom Darlene, our friend Heidi and I went out to lunch in La PineThis is the first time since November that she has been out to eat, so this was a very special treat.

We went to a new restaurant, the Lucky Fortune, and all four of us ordered the same thing, a #3 from the dinner menu.  It was delicious, and the service was great.  Mimi, the owner, was our server.  She and her husband Peter also own the La Pine Inn.  The prices were very reasonable too.  It cost $44.00 for all four of us.

On Saturday, Cary and I went out to lunch in Sunriver, at The Village Bar and Grill.  If you haven't been there for awhile, it is in a new and very beautiful building.  We sat in the lounge and visited with these two sweet young men.  They were great servers:

I ordered the chicken fettuccine, pictured below.  It was $14.50, but tasted great:

Cary ordered the fish and chips.  It was really good too, but it also cost $14.50:

We really enjoy this place but it is very expensive.  The cost of our lunch, including our drinks (one glass of wine and two vodka cranberries) was $44.00.  That is a lot for two people for lunch, so we probably won't be going there very often, even though we love the place.

Where do you guys like to go to lunch?  I hope that you all have a wonderful day!

Your lunches look and sound delicious. My dh and I enjoy lunch out too, usually once a week. A favorite restaurant is an Indian buffet, and another is Greek. Today we are going to a Mexican restaurant on the beach and have a buy one lunch get one free coupon.

Hubby and I have a new place that serves the best wraps. We had one last night for dinner. Today for lunch, I ate the entire bowl of guacamole dip.

Oh wow, I feel like going out to eat now. You made me hungry. The Asian meal looked great and looks like it was a lot of food.

I WANT CHINESE FOOD! Or: I WANT FETTUCCINE ALFREDO W/CHICKEN! Or: I WANT FISH AND CHIPS!!! Man, you got my mouth watering, Kathy. And I would have chosen #3 too, I am sure. I love sweet and sour chicken and is that some kind of pork on the left? Plus, that beef looks SO good, and the fried rice too. When I DO go out to eat, which has not been for quite a while, we like to go this little place called, "The Hideaway" -- they have an appetizer, Chicken Fingers, but they are so delicious, not like regular bland ones that some places have. They are big and batter dipped. I know that CARY would love them! You might enjoy the French Dip sandwich they have. It is VERY good. If you ever come to CT, you can bet that I will take you guys there!! (Wait til I get a job though. LOL!) xxoo
Love,
Gloria

Sometimes we do just need to shelter ourselves, Kathy. (I have that chapter in my book!) When I come to Oregon I want Chinese. It looks so delicious!

That Chinese food looks so yummy! Our town's Chinese joint is a little sketchy...nuff said. Our favorite place is a Greek restaurant where hubby always orders pizza and I get the Greek salad. They load it with cheese and those salty Greek olives. Mmmm!

Oh my goodness...these look so good! It's not quite lunchtime here, but I'm ready for it, anyway. :)

We've got a new sandwich shop here in Matthews that's a new favorite: Which Wich. Lots of different options to choose from. And there's a spot with a scrumptious Italian buffet here that I like, too.

My favorite place to eat is at someone else's house! I love other people's cooking best... provided they are a good cook. Ha. And even if they are so-so, I still enjoy it anyway as I know what it takes to put a meal on the table.

My wife and I like to watch some of the cooking shows, but we sure couldn't afford to actually eat the stuff they make.
