Preparing for Winter Fun:

My cool new boots.

A couple of years ago, we got a used hot tub from a friend in Sunriver, for, shall we say, dirt cheap. It is purple and and it worked great, until the gopher kicked dirt into the motor and burned it out. Our friend Mike replaced the needed parts, and now all that is left is for me to clean the inside before we can fill it up and use it again.

Last week, I peeked inside to see how dirty it was. It re
ally wasn't that bad at all, but there is about 4" of water in the bottom. I didn't have the right kind of boots, and it is too cold to stand in 4" of water in the middle of November, so I used this opportunity (excuse) to buy some new boots.

Last week, I was at Bi-Mart with Darlene, and I found these cool polka dot fancy boots. I chose a size 8, but didn't try them on first. How hard can this
be, I thought (kind of like in my rock candy mishap). I think a size 8 will be just fine, I said to myself, I said.

This morning, I wanted to wear the boots, just because. I was on my way to take pictures of deer, come to find out, and not on my way to actually clean out the hot tub (which I knew). The boots were too small. I seem to be off these days on my estimations of how things are going to turn out. So, I had to go back to Bi-Mart this morning and return them for the last size 9 they had. Lucked out there, I even found my receipt. I was really glad because I would have had to settle for pink polka-dot boots, which would be a little too gaudy for me.

Now I
just need to get that hot tub ready for winter relaxation.

The Equation:

First, LOVE the boots. :)

Second, love the hot tub too. I'm sure once you get it up and running you'll remember just how wonderful sitting in a bubbling hot tub is, especially once you get that snow.
