Welcome to the online diary of a Central Oregon Grandmother (me) who is busy celebrating the positive portions of her everyday life ... along with her best friend husband (Cary). It is quite an eclectic diary and I try to do my best to incorporate a little bit of history into many of my posts. Your visit to our piece of American Pie is greatly appreciated. This chatty Kathy posts frequently, so coming back to visit often is highly encouraged.
Showing you Oregon, one post at a time. Did you know that I post the links of many of my stories and articles on the sidebar? When you have extra time, please scroll down to see more. At the bottom of this page there are links to many other blogs that I enjoy.
Hello, friends, thank you so much for stopping by. I really hope that you will enjoy your visit to Oregon Gifts. Due to spam, I am not accepting comments from anonymous people. "It took me years to get these souveiers." John Prine
After the Christmas things came down, yesterday I decided to fill this teacup shelf in the living room (above the t.v.) with some of my husband's treasures. I thought, well, this is his room too ... why have I put his special things in the bedroom instead of where he can enjoy them everyday? After all, I have my stuff spread out all over the house.

I interspersed my bears and other little
figurines amongst the other treasures.

This copper boot used to sit near Grandma Pearl's fireplace.

Cary bought the seagulls on the
burlwood at the Oregon Coast a while back.

I got him these carved cowboys as a side gift for his birthday.
Cary's grandparents used to travel to Singapore on business.
Don't ya love that Avon sports car?

I think the beer steins are from Avon too.

This horseshoe is cool. The Olympia brewery in Tumwater, Washington is now gone. But, Tumwater is where Cary and his family lived for quite a while. I love all of the fishing lures laminated inside, along with a couple of real flies.
For the record, Cary does not collect old Avon bottles. His Grandma did, and I brought them home for him as mementos. Thanks for taking a peek!

I entered this in Marty's A Stroll Through Life's Tabletop Tuesday. Please go over there when you are done here at Oregon Gifts, and see the beautiful arrangements others have made. Thanks, Marty, for letting me enter twice today!
Oh how fun, it is so nice your husband has collections also. You've arranged them so attractively. Great job. Thanks so much for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
