Hello, Friends! Thank you so much for stopping by. I really hope that you will enjoy your visit. Please remember that all my words and photographs are copyrighted, and may not be used without permission.

During the week of July 5-9, 2011, Cary and I were privileged to attend "The Opening", watching quarterback grandson Tyler Matthews (#43 the first day, and #15 on game days) play with 150 of the best high school football players in the United States. The event was held at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. I hope that you enjoy the pictures ... some are better photos than others, but I tried to capture as many kids as I could.
There are approximately 500 photos in these slide shows. They are of the players, the fans, our family and everybody/everything that caught my eye. They are in chronological order. No names are on the pictures, even if I do know who people were.
As time permits, I will also be writing blog posts about my experience as a spectator. Since I still have a lot to learn about football and this is not a sports blog, I'll write some human interest stories as seen through my eyes. That said, Tyler Matthews, YOU ROCK!!!!

They came out wonderfully Kathy. Just perfect for the Fall season. I like your trailer and your idea sounds like fun.
Wow you are very talented woman. I love these pillows and the hearts. Love to do sewing too but it's hard to get off from blogging ^_^ Happy weekend! And thanks for the visit.
I can see how sewing could create writers block. It is kind of hard to shift gears when you are really getting into one or the other. You have some nice things!
Donnie, thank you! I'm so glad that you are back and visiting me; I've missed you. I think that the little "store" will be cool when I get it all done. For now it is a place to store my finished products.
Kim, well, thank you too! Blogging is a lot easier, and I still manage to do that; but the creative writing needs a different kind of inspiration.
Lynn, exactly! Thank you.
