Front Yard:

Yesterday we worked hard on landscaping the yard. I finished planting my flowers (I've discovered container gardening as my high desert solution for the short growing season with hot days and cold nights). Cary used the skidsteer to even out all of the rock, and Joe mowed and worked on the back yard. By the time we were through it looks really pretty and we were really hot, tired and sunburned. But, it's getting there!

See the orange chairs? Those were an easy make-over, except I didn't think about taking a before picture until it was too late. They were old white lawn chairs with faded cushions. I bought new cushions at Bi-Mart for $13.99 and two cans of spray paint and went to work. It was easy and fun, and the price of the make-over came out to about $16.00 per chair. Well worth it, and cheaper than buying all new lawn furniture. The chairs came out brighter than anticipated, but the "pop" of color was a pleasant surprise.
