I seem to be having a difficult spell with my writing and creativity right now.  I am hoping that if I address it by writing about it, things will somehow improve.  I am not trying to whine, I am just trying to get back to where I was!

I was on such a roll until my laptop went down. I had been using the same computer and the same photo programs for 2 1/2 years and had things down pat.  It was so easy to take pictures, upload them frequently and then think of stories to go with them.  Sometimes I think of the stories first and then find the pictures, if they are not ones that I took. Now, I am mainly using photos from family and friends that I have gotten off of Facebook.  Because I can copy and paste those.  Because I know how to do that.  Plus, Casey and Savanna are in Italy, which is exciting.  And the grandkids are always cute.  That is still technically okay for my self-imposed rules for my blog, since my blog is essential my online diary.  But still, I don't like being in a slump just because I can't easily find and access my photos.

After I was without a computer for a week and a half and then had to figure out how to retrieve my photos from my camera, I became frustrated.  I am trying to learn Picassa, and the HP program has been "updated", making it hard to find out how to upload only my recent pictures, instead of reloading thousands at a time.  This frustration has put a damper on my blog.  Please bear with me as I try to get back on track!

Other things that have happened is that while my computer was down, and I went off into another direction.  I helped with Dad and Jill's move, and then had sorting and dispersing to do with the items we  brought home from their house.  That uses a different part of my brain.

I am just out of sorts, and find it easier to hang out on the couch reading books than dealing with relearning updated computer programs.  Oh, well, this too shall pass.  At least I don't have to worry about this newer computer being on its last leg, and was fortunate enough to be able to keep all of my photos.  Even if I can't find them.

It can be difficult to jump start after a lull. I experienced that, as well, last fall when my laptop was hit with a virus and was off-line for over a week. Your post flowed, though, so if you hadn't told me you were flailing a bit I never would have known! LOL

Thank you Lisa ... I guess I can STILL PUT my thoughts on paper, but I just don't FEEL LIKE doing it!

I also want to start sewing and crafting, but that is really like pulling teeth. I think I don't want to mess anything up, because I finally got it organized.

I am enjoying reading all the kids books that I got at the book sale though, and am still keeping up with the house, so I guess everything is okay. Just wish that the sunshine would get here because that always helps.
