I.O.U.'s:

This morning I was going through all of my old photos trying to find the good ones I know that I have of The Cabin.  I want to submit the post below this one to Metamorphosis Monday at BNOTP, and I know that I can do better.  It is that perfectionist in me, driving me nuts.  Well, I can't find the pictures that I want, but I found some others that cracked me up.

This was me in 9th Grade:

I made my Mom a couple of I.O.U.'s   ...  I wonder if she ever ended up cashing them in?  Probably not:

Hey, she's looking pretty mad about it too:

Oh wait, this picture was taken before I was even born, so she can't be mad at me, yet.  She must be mad at my Dad, Ralph the Jock:

Sometimes that happened.

You owe your mom a purse made of her choice of materials! I wonder just what kind of materials you were thinking of. Paper Mache, collage, bobbie pins, hmm...curious. Hilairious Kathy. The part about your mom being mad, nice touch. At fist I thought it said she was mad at the jockey, lol.

Hello, Homemaker!

Thanks for stopping by to visit.

We are a family of savers around here, that is very true. Mom moved from our family home a few years ago and gave us back the stuff we had given her. My Dad and stepmom gave us a bunch of pictures recently too.

It's fun to go through them.

Kathy, I am amazed that you still have those lovely things you made for your mom. That is so sweet!! And your 9th grade picture is pretty funny, I must say! Although, my 8th grade one could beat that, for sure!! Some day, I'll post it....Oh, I looked SOOO bad!!! :D

Ha! This whole post cracked me up! Mom gave us back a bunch of the stuff she had saved over the years when she sold the big house.

Kathy, I loved this post! So funny that you kept giving your Mom I.O.U.'s!!!!!!!!! LOL! And your father looks just like one of my son's friends. Weird! (Well, not the hairdo, but the face! ha-ha!)
Best,
Gloria

Hi Gloria, this post makes me laugh everytime I come back to it. My Mom looks so pissed. I'm afraid to tell her I put this on here; I think I will just let her find it on her own, lol. My Dad was pretty handsome (he still is really), but he was a handful when he was younger.

Thanks for commenting. That is funny about your son's friend looking like my Dad. Hey, my son is 20 too.

Have a great day,

Kathy
