The New Train Station in Chemult, Oregon:

The new train station is very nice, and I am sure that it helped many folks by providing work as it was built.  The only thing that does not make any sense to me is that there is not a restroom.  The building below is only for shelter.  So, even though everything is handicapped accessible, the nearest place to use the "facilities" is a block away and across the highway.  I hope that that will soon be changed.

These pictures below are of us saying goodbye to our granddaughter Kylie, who stayed with us for a week.  We had so much fun with her, and hope that she and our other grandchildren will come to visit again very soon.

I did a follow up post on the train station, about when we went to pick up Kylie in the middle of a snowy cold night and the train was late.  The top part of that post is about my kids, the bottom part is about the long wait.  Just "Click Here" to read all about it!

Loved seeing the train station, and the tracks! I flew into a small airport in a small town near me. No restroom, and 3 and half hours in the air in a small private plane, with just room enough to fit my feet underneath the pilot seat. Yes, it was freezing up there, and I came from Florida and was not dressed for the cold here! I stood outside waiting an hour for my girls to pick me up. Not a bathroom or a warm place to stay. lol Your granddaughter is lovely and I sure you had a lovely time and hated to say goodbye!

Thanks for the post. We have friends coming up to visit us via rail, and we can let them know to use the train's facilities before "detraining," as I believe it is called.
