After leaving Paulina Lake Lodge, we went back out to the main road and headed toward East Lake. There is a Forest Service Visitor Center on the right, but it was closed. Past that there is a campground on the right with a boat ramp. We drove around there, but I only took a couple of pictures. We have stayed there before, but none of the campsites are right on the lake; most of them do not even have a view of the lake itself. There is a great boat ramp, and your pass includes the cost of parking. Hoodoo is in charge of the campgrounds now.

We left there and drove down the road to Little Crater Campground, still on Paulina Lake. We have stayed there several times. Most of the sites are close together, but it also has a good boat ramp and dock.

The lake is beautiful!

Simply beautiful.
Paulina Lake and East Lake are right next to each other:

We left Little Crater and drove through East Lake Campground. I like staying at East Lake better than staying at Paulina Lake. One reason why is that there are sandy beaches and you can bring your boat right up to the beach and keep it there when it is not in use. We have stayed at Little Crater a couple of times, and I like it fine.
Next we headed further down the road to East Lake Resort. This place has gotten new owners recently and they are pouring money and energy into it. It is really cool!

There is a store, cafe, boat and rod rentals, and several docks.

We left to continue on our drive.

And were invited back!
Behind the sign is an RV park with water and electricity and a dump station. It also has showers and a laundromat. But, sorry to say, it is ugly, because somebody decided to trim all the bottom limbs from the trees years ago. Satellite do t.v.'s work there though.
We turned left and drove down to the big campground, my favorite of all that are offered. Large, roomy campsites, and you can leave your boat on the beach if you want to. There are two boat ramps and several day use areas. There is even a lagoon. This is where I want to stay the next time that we pull the trailer up to Newberry Crater. We have stayed there twice and I like it the very best.
Here are some pictures I took at the day use area:

Shanna caught lots of fish years ago.
