A Little Angel Brought Me A Little Angel:

Yesterday afternoon, my sweet friend April stopped by on her way home.  She brought me these wonderful gifts for my birthday.  That was so thoughtful of you, April, thank you again!

To add to my chicken collection,
April chose this big coffee cup for me.
It says:  "Hatch a big idea today!"

April also gave me this pretty candle and
the acorn salt and pepper shakers.  So cute!

This angel is adorable.

April chose it because she knows me.  Sure enough, I said, "Oh, that is so adorable!  Hey, I could make that!"  She started laughing, because that is why she bought it, so that I could make some for gifts.  And I'll give one to her for sure.

You only need a few things, and no sewing is involved.   A dishtowel, a dishcloth, a hot pad, some ribbon and an iron.  It looks like you iron the dishtowel into an fan and then do the same with the dishcloth.  Tie a ribbon around the middle of the hot pad with the tag centered on the top middle.  Fold both fanned pieces in half and then tie everything together with a ribbon.  Cute!  You can also just use regular fabric if you want.

My mom and Cary's mom gave me birthday money.  I am going to use it get my hair styled today, and then get a new outfit.   I'm not much for shopping unless it involves groceries, crafts, or stuff for the house. That means that I don't get out to the clothing stores very often.  It is like pulling teeth, and I have to be in the right mood.  I just keep wearing my old favorites, and then look at my blog pictures and think, jeeze lady, get a little variety in there for Pete's sake.  Cary wants to take me on a special weekend soon, and I want to look good, so I am going to be working on that project.

I hope that you guys all have a wonderful day!

PS I forgot to say that angel really is darling! And I could "maybe" actually make one! I doubt if mine would be that cute, though!!

Becky, thank you so much for the birthday wishes. You can make it, easily, and it will turn out great. I am sure of it. I think I will do a tutorial on this soon, along with how to make drawstring bags.
