Oregon Gifts of Comfort and Joy ~ Kathy Matthews |
Cary and I visited and enjoyed the Museum of World Treasures in Old Town Wichita. You can take pictures on the first and third floors, but you cannot use your flash. I had to get creative on that. I put the camera setting on aparture and then held down the flash with my finger. Some photos turned out better than others. On many, you will see a narrow white light, which is a reflection of the overhead florescent lights on the glass of the display.
The second floor is very interesting. It is full of world military displays. No photos were allowed on that floor, so you will just have to go to this cool museum to check those out for yourself some day.

These next few pictures are not for the faint of heart, but I find it fascinating on how old these bodies are, and wonder why in the world that heads are used as trophies.

Love, love, love the pics!
Thanks, Becky!
What great pictures, I will definetly have to take my boys there someday. Did you get a chance to visit the botanica gardens while you visited? Its funny that you mentioned you were here last septemeber cause we were actually frequenting old town/downtown wichita quite a bit last september while my husband was in the Via Christi Hospital (he had gotten a couple of bad blood clots in his leg) so my mom and stepdad came to help me out with the boys, we would go up after they got out of school and then eat at one of the resturaunts down there, a really nice area, especially if the weather is nice which I believe it was. I certainly hope you had a nice time while you visited.
