A couple of weeks ago, I was blessed to spend time with my BFF Nancy, staying overnight in her lovely new home. It was a feeding to my soul to spend time with one who has known and "got" me since 1983.
She's so cute.
This is the view of the pond outside her back yard,
and some pretty rose bushes too.
After Cary's and my busy day of going to the zoo and watching football, Nancy drove over to the Nike Field after work to pick me up. We went to her house and relaxed for a bit and had a chance to visite with her son Nigel. A bit later, we drove to the neatest little Vietnamese restaurant and brought home some delicious food. I knew that I would regret not taking photos of the restaruant and their lovely garden, but I was actually "pictured out" by then.
The food was sooo good! So was the wine and the company.
Here are two happy friends, glad to be together again. Nancy was so tired from work, and I was so tired from walking a 100 miles and being sunburned. Still, we stayed up late, talking and talking ... catching up, counseling each other and listening and learning, as only the best of friends can do.
I really appreciate the many times that Nancy took time to come and see me over that week we spent in Beaverton. We only missed getting together on Thursday, because Cary and I were in Kelso watching Johnny's tournament all day long.
So, here we are. Here is to us, Nancy! Thanks for everything.

It's wonderful that you guys have had such a long, strong friendship. The food looks divine and her yard is so lush and beautiful.
Those really great friendships always survive. You can step in after an absence just like it was only yesterday.
I'm sure you two solved all the world's problems. Keep it going.
I loved that pond. So natural looking.
Hi Shannon, thanks so much for stopping by. The Willamette Valley is always so pretty ... but ya got to put up with a lot of rain. That food was really, really awesome.
Hi Patti, you are so right about long lasting friendships. We may not have solved it all, but we talked about it all and figured out what our druthers were for making things right, lol. Yes, the pond is really pretty, and she has a great view of it.
Long and solid friendships are the best. Your pictures are beautiful too!
