Jason

Jason and Pearl

This is our great-nephew, Jason.  He is a really cool little kid.

Jason was there with us the night that Grandma Pearl died.  He was right there in the room nearly the whole time.  He wasn't fearful, and he gave Grandma huge hugs.  Jason was there to be a comfort to her that night, and he did a great job.

Jason told us, as if he could see the whole scene of her arrival in heaven unfold before his eyes, "She is happy!  She is so happy!"  Personally, I think that he has a special gift in that area.

After she was gone, he asked if he could have the little mechanical dog that barks to remember her by.  Cary had given it to Grandma the Christmas before last.  Jason's mom, Shelly, just sent me this picture message the other day of him sleeping with "Pearl", and I wanted to share it with you guys.
