There was the sweetest local family sitting next to us with a bunch of cute kids dressed in red and pink. The lens cover jumped off of may camera and under the bleachers, and the oldest little girl crawled in the dirt to get retrieve it for me. Thanks, sweetie! I tried to give her a dollar, but her dad was adamant about not accepting it, he said that she would be robbed of a blessing.
We were also sitting next to former owners of the Woodsman Motel in Crescent, a couple who snowbirds in Arizona and who live in La Pine the rest of the year, and some nice people behind us that I didn't interview.
