I haven't been to Mardi Gras, but I was in New Orleans a decade ago. That is where I got this little jester magnet.

You probably recognize Emily and the other things. I don't have a limitless supply, so I reuse things from time to time.

Do you like the shadows? The beauty of shadows is that they add another dimension.

Oh, the quilt. My Dad's Grandma J. made it for my Grandma and Grandpa J. for their wedding gift around 75 years ago. They were all living in Arkansas then.

What a beautiful table. That quilt for a tablecloth is perfect.
I think you have made it even better this time. Loved the peppers.
Thank you, Donnie! I posted while I was working on it because I had so many photos (that were all in HTML code) and I didn't want to lose anything.
I was just kidding about been lazy! You're so sweet. I'm so glad you got me here, your table is gorgeous, I can't stop looking at all your details, the tbcloth, all the colours, you're very talented to put together such an artistic table! I looove it!

I think you covered everything on your tablescape! I have to admit I do have a favorite and it is the peacocks! Gorgeous :)

Thank you very, very much, Fabby and Rachel. Oh, those pretty peacocks? .50 each .... score!
very very nice! I love those round boxes, are they lacquered? Gorgeous table fit for a great party!
Very nice!
Is the "Hurt Not the Earth" box a lunch box? Where did you find that? That is one of my absolutely favorite Mary Engelbreit works, I have the 16x20 in my office (I work in environmental education). I would love to find that for my collection. I have many of Mary's environmental themed works framed.

Thank you, Grace and Martha.
Grace, the round boxes are painted tins that I found at a garage sale long ago.
Martha, I bought those at Hiron's Drug Store in Eugene, Oregon ... they used to have a huge selection, I'm not sure if they still do or not. You might check on Mary Engelbreit.com
Oh wow I love your tablescape. The beads on the chandelier is fancy. And your dish I love it too. And your tablecloth is that a quilt? Love it! Thanks for sharing your tablescape.
Using what you have on hand works for me! Being a quilt nut, I like that added touch on your festive table.
Thanks, Kathy, for visiting.
I love the peacocks and the beads, very Mardi Gras looking. Such a beautiful quilt! And of course I love the cross.
I do believe you had more than enough for this great table setting. Never saw so many pretty things in one place.
Hi everybody! Thanks for visiting and leaving your sweet comments. Now I'm off to see you, if I haven't already. :>)
Now, that is a festive table if I have ever seen one...love it! the little peacock birds roosting in the champagne flutes are adorable. Thanks for sharing.
